Directions from VenturaVentura is the county seat, home to the Government Center, the Sheriff’s headquarters, the courts, and Community Memorial Hospital — which means a great many Ventura residents are handed a Live Scan form at some point in their working lives. 805 Live Scan is about twenty minutes south on US-101 in Camarillo, a straight drive from Midtown, East Ventura, or the harbor, with free parking at the building and a private room waiting when you arrive.
If you are applying for a county position, volunteering with a county program, or submitting a concealed carry application through the Ventura County Sheriff, your packet will include a BCIA 8016 Request for Live Scan Service with an ORI code specific to that agency. That code is what routes your results back to the right desk. We check it before we capture your prints so nothing has to be resubmitted, and you leave with an ATI number to track the submission.
The Ventura Unified School District, Ventura College’s nursing and paramedic programs, Community Memorial Hospital, and Ventura County IHSS each generate a steady stream of Live Scan requests — and late summer brings the annual rush of new hires and classroom volunteers. Reserve a time and you will be in and out in about fifteen minutes; walk in Tuesday through Friday and you will rarely wait more than five.
Ventura has Live Scan providers of its own, and we are glad to be one of several good choices. What sets 805 Live Scan apart is that fingerprinting and notary work are all we do. There is no shipping counter, no queue, and no learning curve — the owner captures your prints personally on certified equipment, transmits to the DOJ before you leave, and explains exactly what the government fees on your form are for. Many Ventura clients tell us the round trip took less time than waiting for a slot closer to home.
