805 Live Scan is a private, DOJ & FBI certified Live Scan fingerprinting and notary studio in Camarillo, CA, serving Carpinteria and all of Santa Barbara County. Walk-ins and appointments Tuesday through Friday, and after hours by arrangement.
About 35 minutes and 32 miles via US-101 south to the Carmen Drive exit. Free parking at the door, and most visits are finished in fifteen minutes, so a round trip from Carpinteria fits inside a lunch hour.
Directions from CarpinteriaCarpinteria is the one city on this page outside Ventura County, and it is here for a simple reason: the drive down US-101 from Linden Avenue to our Camarillo studio takes about 35 minutes, often less than the trip into Santa Barbara at the wrong hour, and there is no line when you arrive. Live Scan results are routed by the ORI code on your form, not by where your prints were captured, so a Carpinteria school district, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff, or any state licensing board receives your results from 805 Live Scan exactly as it would from any other certified provider.
The Carpinteria Unified School District, the city’s independent schools and preschools, and its youth sports and recreation programs clear teachers, aides, coaches, and volunteers through Live Scan every year, with the busiest weeks in August and before spring sports. Bring the district’s BCIA 8016 with your photo ID; we verify the ORI code before capturing prints and transmit to the DOJ before you leave. Results typically reach the district within 48 to 72 hours.
Santa Barbara County IHSS caregivers, home care and assisted living staff, new real estate licensees in Carpinteria and Summerland, and concealed carry applicants through the Santa Barbara County Sheriff all pass through Live Scan. Each agency sets its own DOJ and FBI processing fees, which are collected together with our $40 rolling fee at your visit. If anything on your form is unclear, we will walk through it with you.
805 Live Scan does only two things — fingerprinting and notary work — in a quiet studio off US-101 at Carmen Drive, with the owner personally operating certified equipment. Walk in Tuesday through Friday, or reserve a time online for a guaranteed slot; either way, plan on about fifteen minutes in the room and free parking at the building.
