Directions from Camarillo805 Live Scan is Camarillo’s own fingerprinting and notary studio — veteran owned, DOJ and FBI certified, and located where the city actually lives: off US-101 at Carmen Drive, between Old Town and the Las Posas corridor. Whether you are coming from Mission Oaks, Camarillo Springs, Leisure Village, or the new homes at Village at the Park, you are minutes from the door, and most visits are finished in about fifteen minutes.
Live Scan is offered in a few places around town, often as a side counter inside a shipping or mail store. We do only two things, and we do them without a line. Your appointment or walk-in is handled one client at a time in a private room, your prints are captured on certified equipment, and your submission is transmitted to the California Department of Justice before you leave. You walk out with an ATI number to track your results, which most requesting agencies receive within 48 to 72 hours.
Two things: a valid state or government-issued photo ID, and the BCIA 8016 Request for Live Scan Service form from your requesting agency. The form must include the agency’s ORI code — that code tells the DOJ where to send your results and determines which government fees apply. If your school district, licensing board, or employer emailed you a PDF, print it or bring it on your phone and we will take it from there.
Diane is also a commissioned California notary. Powers of attorney, real estate and escrow documents, affidavits, and loan signings can be notarized in the studio during your Live Scan visit or on their own. Mobile notary service is available throughout Camarillo and Ventura County for clients who cannot travel — homes, care facilities, hospitals, and offices — with a modest travel fee based on distance.
A large share of our Camarillo clients are teachers and volunteers with the Pleasant Valley School District, staff at St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital, credential candidates from CSU Channel Islands, IHSS caregivers, and new real estate licensees. If your requesting agency is not listed on this page, do not worry: any California agency that issues a BCIA 8016 with an ORI code can receive results from our studio.
Certified electronic fingerprinting for licensing, employment, adoption, CCW, and volunteer background checks — submitted to the DOJ and FBI while you're here. Clients must provide the BCIA 8016 Request for Live Scan Service form from the requesting agency, and the form must include the ORI code.
